From the May/September 1982 - Aberystwyth trains pictures.

25207 (front) and 25190 bring the 14.00 Aberystwyth - Shrewsbury service into Caersws.  The driver is already anticipating the token exchange that will take place at the at the other end of the platform!

In 1982 only excursion trains or new engines would tempt me down the Cambrian.  On this day I had two newies, '185 on the "12 o'clock Rats" and '207 on the return.  The outward train was wedged and I had to stand.  Following this move I headed north to get 47218 for the year on the 2115 Manchester - Blackpool but fell onto another Rat working instead. 820814_25287_Preston.htm
