Aberystwyth Trains May/September 1982

(L) In 1982 the Sunday Birmingham - Aberystwyth service was only class 25 hauled from Shrewsbury.  On the first day of operation that year the train was hauled by 47355 to Shrewsbury where 25141 (front) and 25062 took over.

(C & R) 25224 (front) and 25167 reverse the stock of the Derby - Aberystwyth excursion train out of Aberystwyth on the 28th July.

On the 14th August 25207 (front) and 25190 head the 14.00 Aberystwyth - Shrewsbury service into Caersws station.

 On the 5th September the last Sunday Birmingham - Aberystwyth service of the year featured 25322 (near) and 25298, seen here being attached to the train at Shrewsbury.

25298 (front) and 25322 prepare to depart Shrewsbury with the 08.45 Birmingham - Aberystwyth train on the 5th September.

On the same day 25182 (front) and 25083 arrive at Aberystwyth with a special train from Euston.  In the background can be seen the stock off the regular Birmingham - Aberystwyth train.
