From the May/September 1982 - Aberystwyth trains pictures.

25224 (front) and 25167 reverse the stock of the Derby - Aberystwyth excursion train out of Aberystwyth.

This excursion train ran from 1982 to 1984 and apart from the Rats always featured a load of my friends!  I covered this train by catching the 0635 DMU from Birmingham to Derby but the lack of a car meant I had to bail at Hinckley on the return for a plus five connection back home.
