25048 passes through Crewe with a train of hopper wagons. I was on an All Line Rover ticket and had gone from Derby to Crewe in search of class 25 locos after the Skegness relief train hadn't run. (Typical, the stock had a 25 on it!) I went from Crewe to Warrington and then discovered an afternoon Crewe - Llandudno relief train would be headed by 25195. When 40081 arrived on a Bangor - Manchester service I did a fill in move to Manchester and completely bowled myself for the 25! (That was the trouble with All Line Rovers, you didn't want to hang around stations for hours on end). |
