From the 20th April 1981-Llandudno pictures.

At around 13.30hrs 25162 couples onto what will become the 13.42 Llandudno - Euston service.  Of course the bashers visible on this photograph (myself included) couldn't possibly have guessed that 25162 was only there to release the loco at the far end of the train (40143) to work this service could we?  Within minutes of this photograph being taken we were all on the train for the shunt movement.  25162 would never work another 'real' passenger train.
