25162 is the station pilot at Llandudno Town on the 20th April 1981. Its role is to release the locomotives that have brought in the various passenger trains so they can work the return workings. Here it can be seen dropping onto one such train alongside 47486. |

25162 is coupled onto the stock that will be forming the 13.42 Llandudno Town - Euston train. However that trains engine is at the far end of this train and has yet to be released. (No sooner had the loco been coupled to the train than the bashers present leapt onto it for the shunt release move!) |
