One of three class 25 locos active on the Crewe - Cardiff line this day. The records show that 25256 only worked two more passenger trains after this.  At the time this was the 'Rat' longest out of works (12/74 I believe) and was in a rare old state.  David reckons he must of had a phone call as he would have had to leave work early to make it and recalls meeting Nick Lawford on the train.  (I missed it and met Nick on his return, he was happy and I wasn't!)
