From the 31st August 1980 Wolverhampton pictures.

31245 heads 25280 past the AM4 electric multiple unit (304 043) into Wolverhampton station with Sunday's Aberystwyth service.  There are only a handful of recorded passenger train workings for this combination of locomotives, mostly following partial failures.  In this case it was probably a last minute problem with 25242 (the loco paired with 25282 on the previous day's working) that prompted it's use.
