(L and C) 25297 comes to the rescue of 45140 after the latter failed in the platform at Rhyl whilst working the 1510 Bangor - Scarborough on the 20th April.
(R) 25297 waits at Chester to get the 'Right Away' whilst working this train. The locomotives were subsequently both removed at Manchester Victoria.

(R) 25051 on arrival at Newton-le-Willows with the 1740 departure from Liverpool on the 5th June. (C) 25276 and 25051 at Wolverhampton on the 18th May with the 1340 Aberystwyth - Shrewsbury, extended to Wolverhampton whilst (R) 25192 heads 25282 at Wolverhampton with the same train on the 6th July.

(L) On the 20th September 25199 is seen here at Dunbar with the 1838 Dundar - Edinburgh. It worked through from Carstairs when the booked Class 47 for the Harwich portion had failed before departure.

(C) On the 28th September 45116 failed on the 0740 Leicester to Leeds just before departure time and 25285 was called upon to take over. Here the loco prepares to depart Loughborough.
