On Sunday 15th March 25219 (left) heads one of the engineering trains between Crewe and Stafford whilst 25308 (right) can be seen at the head of another. Class 25 locomotives were staple power for many years on Sunday engineering trains. On one occasion in the early 80's I saw no less than 20 working such trains in a journey from Euston to Crewe. |
