Devon 1972 - 1977

On Saturday 28th October 1972; (L) 7507 (25157) and 4007 (08839) wait in Plymouth station with an engineers train whilst (R) 7574 (25224) ticks over on Laira shed alongside Warship 821 'Greyhound', the latter having just six weeks to go before withdrawal.

Two years later at Plymouth Laira MPD on Saturday 19th October 1974 25172 and 1053 'Western Patriarch' wait to be called on for their next duties

On a glorious 31st July 1977 (L) 25216 arrives at Paignton with a passenger train

A few months earlier the weather was much less welcoming and on 19th January 1977 (C) 25052 hurries through Dawlish station with a rake of engineer's wagons whilst (R) 25225 heads the other way with a china clay train.

On a wet 29th March 1975 (L) 25219 waits on the stabling point at Exeter St. Davids whilst (C) 25326 arrives with a parcels train heading towards Plymouth.

 (R) 25217 stands in Exeter St. Davids station having arrived with a train from Paignton on the 11th June 1976.
