From 1973 Worcester photographs

25308 (front) and 25300 arrive at Welshpool with the 10.07 Aberystwyth - Euston train. The old station in Welshpool used to be where the mainline railway stopped but it's now been converted into a small shopping mall and now home to a shop, a craft centre and a cafe. The railway line has been moved a little to the side and what you see here is now the A483 trunk road.
