25014 is slowly reduced to bits with 25004 behind waiting for its turn. By the start of October the scrapping of both locomotives was complete. 25014 had spent time in store during 1976 at Haymarket before being reinstated and sent off to work out of Inverness for a year. It was withdrawn in July 1977 and two months later was gone.
