From the 5th June 1977 - Barmouth to Shrewsbury photographs

25101 and 25253 (rear) accelerate towards Barmouth Viaduct with the return York ADEX.

We were very lucky this day as the weather had started out dull and overcast but by the time we reached Barmouth the sun was out.  There was one special train with Class 24 locomotives, two ADEXs with pairs of Class 25s and a single Class 25 on the service train so there was loads to keep us interested.  If you look closely you can see several photographers in this shot and there were a few more standing alongside me!
