RAT POISON

Rat Poison originated from the Manchester/Preston area and was written by several Class 40 enthusiasts who were less than happy when a Class 25 would show up on Bangor or Blackpool workings, normally the preserve of their favourites.  It evolved from being a one page newsletter into a dozen magazines (not all of which are here), each having between eight and twelve pages.  Much of it was designed to 'wind up' Rat Bashers and in retaliation, the 'Anti Forty Times' newsletter was started.

The magazines were printed on coloured paper and this has meant some of the scanned pages may be of lower quality.
